Alan Blyth
I have been involved with abandofbrothers since August 2014, when work brought me to Crawley. It was an ideal opportunity to look for voluntary work in my spare time, which had never been quite possible until then. Later life took me to Oxford, until returning to Crawley in 2018: a great opportunity to rediscover friendships with both volunteers, and young men that we have supported.
What keeps me active in ABoB is knowing my presence is enough. Although I never have the answers to another person’s questions, and we can’t give as much as is needed in these times, the presence we give has a huge impact on the men we support and one another.
